exhibition and coffee morning

well here we are , at least here I am-hopefully there will be more than just me in this new blog which will serve as a website for Art fro All which is what I call my art groups/classes, all 9 of them. This saturday we had an all class exhibition 200 paintings and drawings at the Linskill centre which I think was very successful showing the progress we are making and the art we are producing as well as giving folk a chance to work together as a team perhaps lacking leadership or else enduring what passes for my leadership (bit like a headless chicken at times but we pulled it off, no not the chicken's head, the event) well done everyone.
obviously I will want to put students work on here but already there is that litte voice of anxiety, how can I be sure to be fair and not upset anyone? well perhaps people will have to accept that there will be a mixture of favoritism and opportunism as well as a bit of randomness in which pictures find there way here, have I got my camera did I remember to take a few pictures? whose will I upload? address all complaints to me and then to save time put it straight in recycle in fact save paper and don't write it at all, just accept that if life was fair it might be boring. Here is one of the paintings that stood out for me there were many such but this one got photo'd so here is Ray's painting of Eglington castle I think that's where it is a very well painted watercolour admired by many; it would look good on my own wall!

But as I said there were lots of outstanding work some for the skill some for inventiveness some for humour some for sincerity some fro reasons unknown but it was an exhibition to make me proud.
